Meet Kat

I believe in a natural beauty, preserving what we have, effortless mornings and coffee to get through a busy life! Although I provide a range of services such as lash extensions, permanent makeup and other brow treatments, my passion is skincare. I believe there’s a balance between holistic skincare and in office treatments. Let’s find what works best for you!

I’m a licensed permanent makeup artist, Esthetician and Instructor with over 10 years of experience in Esthetics. Kat Smart Aesthetics was a dream in the making since high school. It’s allowed me to turn my love for art into a profession and share it with the world and those I care about daily.

About the Spa

The first to offer HydraFacial in Fairbanks, Alaska. It has changed my skin and my practice!

This result’s oriented, personalized treatment can be done over a quick lunchtime or transformed into a luxury spa experience to revive both inner and outer wellness. I love that it’s the perfect balance between holistic and clinical with no downtime!

Skin health is achieved through both in studio treatments as well as home care. Complimentary consultations are combined with each treatment, not just the initial. This ensures home care changes as your needs and the seasonal environment around us do.

Our Story

and then, kat smart aesthetics was born

Continued education is a passion. I travel out of state multiple times a year for training with my spa partners such as HydraFacial and Circadia as well as live shows to find new, innovative products. I hold certifications in Xtreme Lashes lash extensions, Ellebana Lash Lifts, Oncology Spa Solutions facial training, Rejuvapen, MDPen and CIDESCO microneedling and currently working on the HydraFacial Connect Masters Program among others.

Born and raised in the interior, Initially I felt we had a lack of true spa environments in Fairbanks. Finding a work space I felt at home, relaxed and with modern amenities proved difficult. I sought a quiet, luxurious space for spa oriented professionals and guests alike. Somewhere we could be a team while still working independently, for ourselves while providing the best guest experience possible. I support an entrepreneurial spirit and women in business. That’s why Kat Smart Aesthetics was founded in 2018.

Since 2020 four other female owned businesses have been run together in our beautiful space. Kat Smart Aesthetics, Studio Jadore Permanent Cosmetica, StellaVita Skincare, Blushing Bear Sugar and Wax and Sweet Peas Aesthetics and Massage have all worked in harmony to meet our community’s selfcare needs!
